New Company of Heroes 2 Details have been released in the newest edition of PCGamer! It includes screenshots, new details about the game, a 2013 release, and more!
A Few Highlights

After retreating his Soviet soldiers from a German MG squad pinning them... "Another machinegun is waiting for them. This one is operated by fellow Soviet soldiers. They glumly open fire, carrying out Order 227 and killing their own."
Relic calls this 'True Sight'"..."You can only see what your soldiers see. That means that you never know what might be on the other side of the next building, beyond the treeline, or even beyond the smoke of your own smoke grenades.
But best of all...
Company of Heroes 2 isn't about different, it's about new, and it's about more.

Relic have resisted the temptation to shoehorn needless modes and mini-games in where they're not welcome.

Company of Heroes 2 is coming! Relic, makers of Homeworld and Dawn of War, have finally announced the sequel to their glorious, Nazi-stomping World War II strategy game.
If you want to read every shrapnel of information, you’ll need to run out and buy the next issue of PC Gamer magazine – on sale in the UK on May 9th, and the US May 22nd. UK readers even get Company of Heroes 1 free with every issue.
But if you want to know the basics, read on below for how Relic intend to follow the best real-time strategy game of all time.
It’s set on the Russian front. You control the Soviets in their fight to repel the invading Nazi force.
Snow plays a major part on the battlefield.
The cover system has been revamped.
The game is due out 2013.

Le vicende di Company of Heroes 2, secondo PC Gamer, sono contestualizzate sul fronte orientale della seconda guerra mondiale e i giocatori dovranno affrontare alcune delle battaglie più famose come quelle di Stalingrado, Smolensk, Kursk e Mosca. Il gioco inizierebbe nel 1941, quando i Sovietici intrapresero la tattica del ripiegamento, costringendo l'esercito tedesco ad avanzare con difficoltà sulla neve.
Company of Heroes 2 si concentrerebbe sull'atrocità del conflitto e sulla difficoltà nel combattere in condizioni climatiche avverse. Non resta che aspettare i primi dettagli ufficiali e la presentazione definitiva da parte di THQ per capire come sarà il seguito di quello che è ancora oggi considerato come uno dei migliori strategici in tempo reale di sempre.
"Vogliamo più autenticità, più realismo e più possibilità tattiche", dice Quinn Duffy, lead designer di Company of Heroes 2, secondo un estratto dell'articolo. L'obiettivo dello sviluppatore Relic Entertainment non è tanto rivoluzionare il concetto originale, quanto di migliorarlo e di aggiungere degli elementi di novità. Il gioco, dunque, dovrebbe essere nuovamente basato sulle coperture e sulla gestione degli spostamenti di piccoli plotoni di militari.

Secondo il mio punto di vista THQ con la fatica che ha fatto a crearsi una comunità del genere; tutt'oggi ancora molto attiva; non può fare cavolate, credo anche on i titoli Dawn of War non abbia disatteso. Il rischio è che venga sepellita

così magari mi riavvicino anche un pelino al gaming, che male non fà.
